Every year since 2004 the Friends have sponsored a Hiking Program from
September thru December.
Castalia Quarry MetroPark
Hiking for all ages and abilities!
Group hikes, entertainment, food, kids activities - fun for the whole family.
NEW this year - 5k Run/Walk before the official Kickoff time!
Participants who hike seven of eleven planned hikes in Erie MetroParks receive an Arkansas Walking Stick. In subsequent years, those who complete the hikes earn a leather medallion to attach to their walking stick.
In September we Kick-Off the hiking program at one of the parks with entertainment, children's and nature activities, and refreshments.
Hikers can complete two hikes at the Kick-Off event!
