Rivers, Ponds, and Streams Oh My!

Ages 10-15
Spend the day kayaking, pond dipping, and fishing along the Huron River. We will explore various habitats and learn how important freshwater is to our lives and ecosystem. No flip flops. Please bring a packed lunch and water bottle. Please bring a change of clothes we will be in and around the water.

Field Study Frenzy!

Ages 10-15
Edison Woods is the perfect MetroPark for hiking and exploration. We will make nature journals, go on a scavenger hunt, and use technology to help us identify everything we find on the trails. No flips, flops. Please bring a packed lunch and water bottle.

Wing Watch!
Wednesday, June 14th | 9:00AM – 3:00PM
Ages 10-15
We will explore various habitats in search of many winged creatures that call our MetroParks home. We will start our morning off with a bird walk and search for nesting birds around the park. In the afternoon we will get up close and personal with some insect pollinators and the habitats they occupy. No flips, flops. Please bring a packed lunch and water bottle

Be a Naturalist!
Thursday, June 15th | 9:00AM – 3:00PM
Ages 10-15
All the Naturalists at the Frost Center are responsible for animal care. You’ll learn how to take care of the education animals that call the Frost Center home. Everyone will have a chance to touch, feed, and help clean our animals in addition to the day’s scheduled games, crafts, and campfire lunch. No flips, flops. Please bring a water bottle. Lunch will be provided.
