March 10: Erie County Ohio — Facility reservations, in-person programming, and indoor facilities, except for restrooms, will remain suspended/closed through May 31, 2021. Facility reservations and in person public programming will resume when Ohio reaches 50 COVID cases per 100,000 people for 2 weeks. Erie MetroParks asks that restroom use be limited to emergencies only. All Erie MetroParks’ properties remain open to the public. Park guests are asked to always observe proper social distancing and must wear masks when in an Erie MetroParks building.

Erie MetroParks staff will continue its work of conserving natural resources while connecting the community with nature through education and exploration. Online-based programming and education will continue to be offered for all ages during this season. Please visit for a list of the latest programs. The park district includes over 3,000 acres and more than 30 miles of trails in every corner of Erie County. Erie MetroParks encourages individuals to explore the parks, get some fresh air, and enjoy the sights and sounds of the natural world.
