FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Does registering for the lottery mean my child has a spot for camp?

A: No. When you register your child(ren) for the lottery, this does NOT mean they are registered for camp. This is only to put your child’s name in for the lottery. Registration for the lottery is open April 1 – April 8, 2025 and draw names will be randomly drawn on April 9, 2025.

Q: How are names selected?

A: Names will be randomly drawn on April 9, 2025. Parents and guardians of the lottery winners will be contacted April 11, 2025.

Q: What about children with siblings? 

A: Please register each sibling separately. If you would like the siblings to be in the same week, write the siblings names in the notes section when submitting registration.

Q: Can I register my child’s relative (other than sibling) or friend as well? 

A: No. Please register only children in your household for the lottery.

Q: When will I get notified if my child is picked? 

A: Parents and guardians will be contacted on April 11, 2025.

Q: If my child is picked, how do I register?

A: Please call 419-625-7783 ext. 221 or email behere@eriemetroparks.org. A staff member will contact you to register your child(ren). If the office lines are busy, please leave a message and a staff member will contact you to register your child(ren).
