Frequently Asked Questions

How long are the videos?

Programs are typically done in 20-minute increments. Learning from home can be challenging, and longer programs will struggle to maintain students’ attention.

How do live video-conference programs work?

Video-conference programs are conducted via Zoom meetings. Once a program is scheduled, you’ll be provided with a link to the Zoom meeting and instructions on how to join.

Can I request specific topics for my class?

Yes! Fill out the request form on this page. We’ll be in touch to help create an experience that’s uniquely suited to your students.

Is there a fee for Nature School programs?

No! Partnering with schools and home educators to provide a unique learning experience for students is a vital part of the Erie MetroParks mission. Nature School is simply an extension of the park district’s normal education strategy.
