The Great Pumpkin Hunt | Erie MetroParks

Can you find The Great Pumpkin? Clues will be released each week on Wednesday during the month of October. There will be four pumpkins strategically placed in the parks each week with clues that will lead you to The Great Pumpkin on the final week. Prizes will be awarded to the first person to find The Great Pumpkin. Three others will be selected at random to win a prize pack. You must submit a photo next to each pumpkin and The Great Pumpkin to qualify. Use the park maps to help navigate. Send photos to behere@eriemetroparks.org when you have finished.

Legend has it, an Osborn prison farm fugitive, Silas ‘Pumpkin’ McGraw, struck gold while harvesting potatoes in the field. He escaped to hide the treasure and left behind clues for his partner in crime, but both died before it was ever found. Now their restless spirits haunt the woods, desperate for someone to finish what they started. Are you brave enough to uncover the truth?

Clues:

Clues will be released every Wednesday in October on social media and on our website starting October 1^st, participants will follow that to the first pumpkin. Once a pumpkin is found, they will also see a riddle/ brain teaser that when paired with a social media post the following week, will lead them to the next pumpkin. Each pumpkin will also have a piece of the clue to the great pumpkin. Make sure you write down or take a photo of the clue! Once you find all four, you will need to correctly arrange the clues to find The Great Pumpkin. Good luck!
